Horizon House

Boundary House was opened in 1995 and was the first New Boundaries home. Boundary House is registered with the Care Quality Commission and provides residential care for 21 adults with a learning disability and challenging behavior. Originally a 10 bedded unit, Boundary House underwent an extensive refurbishment and development programme where a further 13 rooms were added. The extension, known as Horizon House can accommodate 10 people with a learning disability.

Boundary House is currently undergoing a major refurbishment programme which will see it converted into flats, each with its own facilities. Work is due to commence in spring 2019 and is expected to be ready for opening during the summer.

Horizon House

Horizon House is situated at the front of the house and is designed for service users who present with more complex challenging behaviours and therefore require higher levels of support.

• There are 10 single bedrooms all with on-suite shower, toilet and wash hand basin
• There is a large lounge dining room with a small kitchen enabling service users to make drinks and snacks with staff support when required.
• Horizon House also contains an office and meeting room where professional meetings can take place.

Each resident is provided with a bedroom that has at least 12 square metres usable floor space, sufficient and suitable to meet individual needs and lifestyles. Every service user is encouraged to decorate and furnish their room to their individual choice.

Situated in extensive grounds, Boundary and Horizon House is situated in the tranquil village of Felthorpe, just a short distance from the city of Norwich.
Service users living at the home are actively encouraged to access day services. Transport to these services is provided via the homes own minibus which in the evenings and at weekends is utilised for trips to local amenities, fun parks, shopping trips or wherever else the service users may wish to go.
